
The Jewish Cultural Quarter provides you with four centre parts to visit, filled with information on the Jewish culture, tradition and history.
Experience the 17th Century interiors of the Portuguese Synagogue, which is illuminated by hundreds of candles whilst you travel back in time to Amsterdams Golden Age, discover the history and culture of the Netherlands in the Jewish Historical Museum, which also homes the interactive Children's Museum. Finally visit the National Holocaust Museum which was located in the former theatre called Hollandsche Schouwburg, the memorial site now presents a wall of names commemorating the Jewish victims - learn about the Holocaust through ever-changing exhibitions and events.

- In the Knowledge Center, you can discover Jewish art, culture and history. Full of books, DVDs, audio recordings of documentaries, interviews and traditional folk music, photographs, historical documents and journals.
Exhibitions 2020
The Jewish Cultural Quarter offers a wide range of exhibitions all year round. View famous works from Dutch artist, Eli Content exhibits, German poet, Paul Celan and learn about Jewish history and culture through thought-provoking exhibits.
Candlelight Concerts 2020
Experience the beautiful acoustics of the Portuguese Synagogue illuminated by hundreds of candles as talented musicians entertain with classical, jazz and klezmer.
